We offer a rich heritage of Sufi teachings for those whose heart's desire it is to uncover their true nature and purpose in life.  Our path is guided by the teachings of Hazrat Pir-o-Murshid Inayat Khan.

We hold esoteric classes, seminars, Healing and Universal Worship services and Dances of Universal Peace for Sufi Initiates and inquirers.  Our desire is to support a closer relationship to one's soul, in the context of spiritual community.

Classes

Sufi Teachings and Meditation

Offered once a month is a class in Sufi Teachings and Meditation.  The Sufi path is an esoteric training in personal transformation.  In this class, teachings of Hazrat Inayat Khan and other Sufi teachers are read and contemplated.  Practices of breath, light, sound, concentration, visualization, repetition of sacred phrases are used to aide in stilling the mind and allowing one's inner guidance to inform insight that may be useful in life.  The camaraderie of fellow seekers is shared in tea and discourse afterwards.

Sufi Healing Order

The art of healing can be considered a gracious act of solidarity with human suffering, inspired by an attunement with the divine which allows one to become a clear channel for the divine healing power.  The purpose of the Sufi Healing Order is to develop the natural human capacity of healing through spiritual dimensions.  The Healing Service was developed to provide a process through which a group of people offer distance healing to others through prayer and concentration.

Working with the Healing Order can bring changes to your life.  The Sufi Healing Order emphasizes the importance of self-healing, so it is not unusual to become more aware of one's own need for healing.  We focus on self-awareness and developing a state of balance and well-being.  Experience shows us that it is from maintaining our own fullness that we are able to give more effectively to others.
All initiates interested in healing are welcome to attend.

Universal Worship Service

Our Universal Worship Service is an inspiring, light-filled celebration.  We have one altar upon which all the world's religious traditions are represented by candles and scriptures.  It was the vision of Hazrat Inayat Khan that by coming together in sincere prayer and by experiencing truth in the essence of all religions, people would become tolerant and forgiving.  Our services in Tucson are evolving as we find truth within each of us.  Sometimes our synergy manifests as an inspiring group sermon.

Kinship

Kinship has long been a commitment of our Sufi Community.  For many years we have provided monthly home cooked meals to the homeless prepared by our Sufi members and friends.

As our present availability and times have changed, as well as the critical needs of the world, we have decided to focus some of our efforts for world-wide emergency care through support of the Shelter Box disaster relief charity.  Please see their website - www.shelterboxusa.org

Dances of Universal Peace

Dances of Universal Peace are a participatory group spiritual practice facilitated by a Dance Leader.  The leader teaches the words which are sacred phrases of the world's religions.  Basic movements are set to music which may be with live accompaniment or sung.  This embodiment of spiritual truths brings about a shared unity and ecstatic experience of Universal Peace.

All are welcome and no experience is necessary.  We usually meet the second Saturday of the month from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.  For current schedule and location see the newsletter.

Ziraat

Ziraat is the activity of the Sufi Order that focuses on our relationship with nature.  Using the metaphor of the farm as a basis, Ziraat helps one to embody spirituality on the earth and appreciate nature more deeply.  We meet on the Solstices and Equinoxes.

Spiritual Guidance

Spiritual guidance is available for those who have committed to esoteric training and have taken initiation with the Sufi Order International.  Guidance is given one-to-one and spiritual practices are given to an individual to aid in in the development of their path.  Representatives that offer this guidance have undergone training and are not paid.
